Glad this turned out ok for you. A year ago May, I was bit by a raccoon. The bastard came up from behind and bit my calf. I was in a park in Washington DC.

    Speaking of Rausch...
    Check list I usaully do before I go;
    - Grease drive shaft
    - Check wheel bearings (I just lift the truck grab a tire and jerk it around to see if there's any play) I plan on buying a spare then returning it if I don't need it.
    - Battery, make sure it's good voltage.
    - Fluids
    - Suspension
    - Tighten u-bolts on springs to torque spec, whatever it is. ( People should be doing this anyway especially if you offroad)
    - 4x4 is in proper working order
    - Cleaning inside and outside to inspect everything...I do this so I can see what new battle scars I have.

Then I check All my recovery gear and make sure it's in proper working order, including mounting points on truck.

When you get back home do not wash your vehicle for a couple days.
When the vehicle is dirty it's alot easier to see if your leaking anything.
    After that clean and inspect:thumbsup:

I’m in on that offer. Just looking to get some time on the easy trails with my truck and maybe jump in your rig Saturday?

    Must haves at Rausch!!!
    - Water! it's July remember:rofl:
    Plus you might get dirty:eek:
    - Food! this ain't no freaking picnic!
You may have to do some real work getting out of a jam or helping others out of a jam.
Also wheeling all day takes a toll on you anyways regardless if anything happens or not.
    Food is your energy!
    - 2 pairs of footwear, I don't recommend sandals on the trail. Ask me why I know this:rofl:dont know how muddy and wet it's gonna be.
    - any spare parts, tools, recovery gear.
Normally everyone has but sometimes you need that special tool for whatever.
I saved the day before with a file and another with a pipe wrench:thumbsup:

    - Beer, nothing like a cold one after a hard day of wheeling and
    - Ice, you gotta keep the beer cold:rofl:
    Fire extinguisher!!!!
    Look at Rausch Creek rules.
Pay no attention to putting rocks back either,
I get it but it's impossible to keep track of!

    Sounds good to me:thumbsup:
Once you meet all these people you may want to jump in with someone else though.
Just ask them they more than likely say yes.
I think I got in and out of 3 trucks 1 day.
    It's to much fun.

@mhoadley I'm also still trying to figure out when I'm leaving on Thursday.
What's the earliest you can get out?

I’m scheduled for a half day. I could look to take the entire day off, or go in early to be out at 11. What time you thinking?
