This proved to be way more of a PITA than it was worth. Driving it around is fine. Parking it anywhere is a joke. They’re basically not allowed to be parked anywhere so scrapped that idea lol

Just hit up the local commercial landscaping stuff selling store (SSR Equipment here in Danbury), and bought the Kombi Hedge Trimmer Attachment.

They don't "carry" in store the straight one (which is $180), only the articulated one (which is $270), so I bought the articulated one. After thinking it over, made more sense to spend the extra few bucks and get the articulated one to be able to do taller or lower hedges, without having to hop on a ladder, or reach up super high with the machine, etc.

Already going to put it to use ASAP and start making some of the money back on it because the guy across the street whose grass I've been mowing has some bushes, and he wants me to trim them.

Rainy good morning all. Rain means I don't have to cut the grass for the win!

 

Yessir! The thing I bought has a "long arm" and is adjustable, so I can probably do it without a ladder, unless the hedges and/or bushes are super duper tall. Can't wait to try this thing out.

 

Just a current "balance" of the situation as far as the landscaping "business" goes.

Based on EVERYTHING I've bought and sold, which includes paying for the trailer rental to bring the mower down from Rochester and throwing my sis and bro in-law $100.00 for gas, I'm "in the whole" for $526 as of right now.

Should brake even at least by the of the mowing season since I don't plan on buying anything else since I have what I need, and want.

 

Say that again in your head. Think about it, and then realize you're going to buy more.

Wait a minute! Monday is start day, Wednesday is hump day and Thursday is not Friday Eve but I won't be there. Man, what are you thinking?

 

and more, and more! How is that combi system working out?

 

The weedwacker part of it works great. Just like the regular weedwacker. I bought the hedge trimmer attachment this morning. Had to buy the articulated one because they didn't have the straight one. Plus after thinking about it, it made more sense to buy the articulated one for the ease of use.

Got to use it for a bit when I got home, but then it started raining so I had to cut the job short. Gonna finish it up tomorrow. So far it works great. Easy to use, and because of the kombi system as opposed to the stand alone unit it reaches high and far. A hit heavy to use because of how it is, but nothing that you won't get used to.

I'll have a better feel and opinion for it tomorrow when I actually get to use it for longer. P
