Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Got my shed "addition" finished today. All it was missing was the finishing trim on the outside since we built it last year. Now it's complete. LOL

 

Anyone know of a good shop around the Danbury/Brookfield/Newtown areas that know how to do alignments on lifted trucks? Any help is appreciated.

 

A while back @KeithB recommended EVB in Danbury for mechanical work... not sure if they do alignments though.

I live in Brookfield and use Firestone on Federal Road. But I also don't really have a lift per say... I just sit a bit higher on my Sport because I upgraded to the Pro suspension a while back.

Not so much recommended as I've never used them but knew of them through family member. It's mainly a jeep place but they do work on other brands. Not sure they are the right place for an alignment. They do more extreme makeover stuff and not so much routine maintenance. My truck is lifted and I've been getting my alignments done at Firestone for the last 10 years. Never gave me a problem although they did just tell me that caster is not adjustable on tacomas when I asked why the number was blank on the report even though they've adjusted it for me for the last 10 years.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been by EVB but not overly impressed due to the recent changes they have made with there staff. I got it done by Cruisers and they sent it out to get done but won’t really say who did the work. They told me I just have to go through them every time I want it done. I’m just the type of guy who like to know who’s working on my stuff is all.
Again thanks for the input nice to know I have a place to go with questions and get honest answers.

Hmm... kinda weird/possibly shady if you ask me. Why the fuck would you not disclose where the work was done?! I get that it may be a business thing, not wanting to lose the business if you go directly to them, but still.

You said Cruisers did the lift, right?! I bet they had the alignment done at Val's then, since it's right across the street. Wouldn't doubt that since it would make sense based on convenience/location of both shops.

I went there (to Val's) once or twice when I noticed a lot of vibration on my truck. They checked everything out, even more things than I asked them to, and said everything looked fine. They did say that my wheel balance was a bit off, so they corrected it and said that they didn't think that was why it was noticing the vibration. General consensus about my vibration is/was due to the wheel and tire combo. Heard that some combos tend to vibrate more than others, and it was even suggested on here (can't remember by whom) to have my wheels and tired "road force balanced", that it might "fix" the issue, but never got around to looking for places near us to do it.
