    any of you have one of those smart oil tank gauges? my regular gauge is so wrong - was reading less then 1/4 but it was 1/4 of a tank off lol so I filled and learned it was way off... I'm wondering how accurate these smart gauges are - I found a fancy one for $160 with a fancy wifi connection but I found another which plugs into an outlet and displays on the meter there for cheaper.

    As an oil dealer I can say the ones we work with are pretty accurate. Mine at home reads 1gal changes in the tank and reports daily. The one I have is a gremlin WiFi but you they might only be leased through oil dealers. What town are you in?

    Don’t have any experience with them. They are from Danbury I think. The smaller cash dealers use that one because the cost is all on the homeowner.

    They cost me about 100, they have WiFi and 4G units. But we get hit with monthly monitor cost for the back office software as well so I’m guessing you might have to be an oil dealer to buy them. They have a “dealer locator” link on their site, maybe you could find someone near you.
