    I haven’t read up on them in a couple months since I got sucked into upgrading my head unit but I thought the Nittos didn’t do as well in wet conditions compared to WP’s. At the time there was still noise on the balancing issues in 265/70/16 and 265/70/17 sizes on some of the WP’s. I’ll get back to that after I’m done with the stereo swap.

    The mod itself seems very straight forward. Personally I would just look into if the marginal increase in voltage could possibly damage any sensitive equipment I doubt it would since everything has a +/- on margin.

    Mornin everyone! Finally Friday!

    All my stereo gear should be delivered today from Crutchfield. Pretty fn excited lol. The wire harness I had to order elsewhere to bypass the JBl amp won’t be here till the 10th. Fuckers! At checkout it said it would be delivered by the 3rd. Went through checkout and bam on back order. Wtf??

    Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT, 10 ply in 265-65/17 here and I like them but I’m no expert. They are a M&S rated tire with the snowflake/mountain symbol thing. I will say that they are relatively quiet for what they are. Like everyone else most of my driving is on the road however my work does take me places “into the wild” sometimes so I wanted to have something that could handle a little bit of that. They seem pretty good in the snow but I have heard that they are not great on ice - but then nothing really is.

    I ran the coopers on the 09 sport. No complaints, but the sport isn't really for trails. Good tread life.
    Stock Goodyears on this one. So far their good enough .

    So I tested voltage at the battery terminals and only got 12V with truck off ( even though that makes sense because it is a 12V battery) and almost 13V when idling. UG is reading 13.65 while idling. Everyone else in that thread about the booster is reporting nearly 14 or just over 14V pre booster. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

    And yes, that is my fear, messing with the output voltage and screwing up something else. Maybe best to leave it alone. Its not broke so probably shouldn't mess with it.

    new
    battery every couple years cheaper than diagnose & replace vehicle computers. If you're worried about it, it means you know you don't know enough about it yet. Sounds like you've made the wise decision.
