    What kind of machine do you have?

    I rented the RugDoctor from a supermarket but wasn't impressed with the results..not surprised but I figured I got to use it on both trucks and the rugs in my house so it was worth the gamble. I dabbled in carpet cleaning when I did building maintainence so I'm not surprised that the RD machine didn't have the water pressure to really deep clean the carpet and seats.

    It's actually a curbside find - Hoover Steam Vac Supreme, IIRC.
    Was funny, bought my house & as I was moving in by the station wagon load, a neighbor put a vacuum & this carpet cleaner out at the curb. Being a handy guy I grabbed them as I needed both. Vac needed a new belt, Carpet cleaner was ready to go. Cleaned all the carpets before I moved in the furniture. Works fine, got the carpets looking nicer. In a previous life I ran hotel HK departments.
    Doubt I'd buy this unit as I like to overbuy machinery/tools, but for simple home use it's good.

    We used a 'dry' system to clean carpets, or one of those van & long hose systems 1x. So I don't really have commercial wet system experience to compare. That said, it had an easy time making mud in the extraction tank. Nasty thick mud after several really good vacuuming's. So it's a good, powerful unit. Far better (worse?) results than the one other residential unit I've used that only made a light tea in the extraction tank.

    We had a portable machine that could be tossed in the back of a pickup truck, which would do a great job and was a wet system. Eventually the boss got a van mounted one which I only used a couple of times and never cleaned it after so I'm not sure what system, though it was mid 1990s

    Good sunny afternoon!

    So I had an appt for my 25k service today. The sticker they put on the windshield last service said 26.2k. I have 26.6k. I get there and they tell me the “Toyota Care” stops at 25.9k. Excuse me? No one said shit about that last visit. Wtf did you put a sticker on that was already past this “window”. The service person didn’t even make an attempt to work with me or get a manager. Just a shrug of her shoulders.
