Congratulations. Glad mom and baby are healthy. That's the best you can ask for. My wife and I have/are raising 3 boys. It goes fast. 2 in college now and 1 in 6th grade.

 

So the Tundra boys are talking about if their wives found out what they really spent on their trucks & this came up. LOL

Thank you! Really couldn’t ask for anything other than a healthy baby and mom. Without going into too much detail, he came 5 weeks early and the birth wasnt straight forward because the cord was around his neck, which caused dips in his heart rate each time she pushed. Had about 10 doctors in the room during the process. Needless to say, I was freaking the fk out inside. Feeling blessed that everything is ok and that both baby and mom are doing great.

 

Wow, that's scary. Sorry you and your wife had to go through that and that it all worked out in the end.

In response to my post about dealership thank you all.
Yes I was referring to Mcgee Toyota in Dudley MA.
They have been good with pricing just get worried about getting another vehicle from them with issues.
They do offer a service to keep mice out of the passenger compartment as they put metal mesh in the area that allows to come in to the passenger comapartment, it goes in before the in cabin air filter.
I do plan on getting that done reguardless just to be safe as I live out in the sticks.
I also understand that some dealeeships are better at the service side whereas others are better at the purchase side.

There is 1 dealeeship in Norwich Charles Toyota that if you buy the car there you get discounts on the parts department i think they said depending on the part 10-15% off.

I appreciate everyone's input. as far as Foxwoods goes I am about 15-20 minutes from there to my house so not bad.

Hopefully we will be heading home from the hospital this afternoon. I cant wait to see our dog’s first interaction with him.

 

I've read it's best to greet the dog yourself first and introduce a piece of clothing or blanket that the baby was in contact with so that the dog can get the scent first. Then after the dog is satisfied with the new scent from the article of clothing/blanket, then introduce the baby. That way the dog isn't overwhelming the baby with being excited about a fresh new scent since it will already be familiar. Better to do this a day ahead of time but since you'll be home today, guess that ship has sailed. In any case, a few minutes prior is better than nothing.

 

I went home and cleaned a bit. Stopped by grandmas house because shes watching the dogs for us. I brought one of his swaddle blankets with for both of them to smell it. Still waiting to hear if we will actually be leaving today or not, but I left the swaddle blanket at grandma’s for both pups to get familiar with the smells.
