Hahaha ohh come on now getting shot isn't that bad at least at some distance with bird shot. true story I really got shot hunting once it was at the powerlines too. There were 3 guys above us and a bird went up but stayed really low and they all shot at it DOWN HILL directly toward us and I ended up catching like 10-12 bb's in the back that actually stuck in and had to be removed with tweezers by my father and let me tell you they hurt twice as much coming out as going in hahaha

 

And that, my friend, is why I no longer hunt open land. The few times I go, it's private land and with the club having so few members I've had the fields to myself.

 

Hahaha ya it wasn't fun by any means but it definitely could have been worse. My dad got hit too not nearly as bad as I got it. Hahaha at first I thought I stepped on like a bee's nest of something hahaha I dropped my shotgunn and started running around trying to swat them a way and my dad was like it's not bee's we just got sprayed hahaha And what really passed us off was there attitude. We were doing really good that day 1 bird away from our limit and the guys were like hey you guys got 3 already we only saw one so we shot.... So we stayed calm and had to explain to them what had happened and why it was so stupid and dangerous They followedp with dude if you got a problem we can go right now. Needless to say there are people out in the field that need to re-take there safety course over and have business even handling firearms

 

Your a member of the naugatuck fish and game right? I think this year I'm really gonna try and join one I'm kind of leaning toward Harrwington rod and gun cause they have like 30 3d targets in a course that simulates real life hunting situations

 

Yup, I'm with Naug. Harwinton is good I hear. Double check that the shot gun range is separate from the pistol/rifle range. I thought one crossed over the other and weren't able to be used at the same time.

 

Is your club still excepting new members? And is there a dedicated shooting range? That's really my only MUST cause that's another huge reason I'm joining a club I HATE standing in line for like an hour or more at High rock plus that's another place you see a lot of crazy unsafe firearm handling

 

A yooo what's thee good word @dcorbalis any good spots to explore in 4wd with our tacos as you know already from our last experience in Ct that it kinda sucks here hahaha

 

Membership is currently closed. It was hard for me to get in. They only allowed me because my Dad had been a member. No official range. We have about 50 acres that has a large silt pile on it from when we dug out the pond.

 

Haha yes it was an experience. Ive been keeping a low profile lately

Question for you peeps that have LEDs light bars, etc.

How hard is it to install this?

Please keep in mind that I AM A COMPLETE NOOB/ROOKIE when it comes to doing any type of work like this.

 

It's fairly easy to take off the front bumper cover add grill. Then it's easy access to the bolts needed to install the light bar. I would give this a 3/10 in effort. You will probably spend more time wiring it. Good luck

 

So you're saying I'd have to remove the bumper in order to put it on?! I've removed the grille before, so feel conformable with that. Not so sure about the bumper itself though...

 

I'm guessing the bumper cover has to come off. It's easy.

 

Interesting... have to think about it I really want it or not then, since I have the bull bar/guard in front already as it is.
