I managed to get out to the Farmington river for the first time this season.

Landed a nice 10" brown on a top water caddis, he gave a great fight. I also netted 1 yearling. I didn't take a pic of the yearling so that I could get him back in the water quickly.

Had a ton of stuff to do today. Kroil'd the bolts on the rear muffler & attached O2 sensor in prep to change it at some point.
Then went to the beach in the RV, 'cause sometimes you have to spend time on your soul before chores.
Saw a nice Tacoma. Roof rack, rear pod lights, Diamondback cover, 4x4 TRD Pro hailing from VT.

Question if you peeps don't mind. And I can take a pic tomorrow if it'll help visualize the problem.

I have what looks like to be some type of "layer" of plastic, or something like that, that's peeling off on my headlights. Both sides. Not sure what it is, or what happened. Kinda looks like when you peel a sticker off of something, and sometimes it breaks and leaves pieces glued on still. Anyone know of an easy to use product to possibly clean that up? Or maybe buff it out with a rag?

 

That sounds like the UV coating that is on the lenses.

 

Is there a way to clean that up? It looks like shit, that it's peeling off like that.

 

I just was reading in no vtech for me’s thread. He did a retro and used spraymax 2k and said it came out good. Not perfect but good.

Thanks! Looks like he might have sanded first... Not sure I want to go through all of that to be honest. Was hoping there was something out there that I could just apply and either rub/wipe off, or buff off.

 

Ive come across something like that on TW somewhere. I can’t remember if it was in the detail section or not. If I remember correctly there’s a kit that’s like a 2 part process with some kind of compound that you buff with a drill attachment then spray the coating on.

 

I might hit up the auto parts store tomorrow then, and ask the peeps at the counter. Need to pick up some zip ties for the "new" morimoto harness that I got today, which will hopefully fix my halo being out issue. So if it does fix it, then I'd like to clean up the lenses as well while I'm at it.

 

I posted the pics of my new Diode Dynamics SS3 fog lights earlier in the week. Well I went onto their facebook page and instagram pages and saw this.

My truck is their "model" for the new product.
