Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Went to urgent care.

They did the quick strep and the culture one. Quick came back negative, so waiting until Tuesday for results. Also did Covid test, just in case. Also waiting until Tuesday for the results of that. FML

Got antibiotics in case it's strep, and already gave first dose.

I have plenty but thank you! If I didn’t I would be all over that. I mostly burn pallets but have tree branches from when we took a huge oak tree down in front last year so I should probably start burning some more of that slowly too

How are the babes holding up! Feeling any better, or spreading it to the rest of you poor bastards?

 

So far so good, or at least better than yesterday.

No fever today, but he did throw up a couple of times early this morning. The 2nd time it was yellow. Guessing it's stomach bile, since he didn't really eat much or anything yesterday, and we still gave him the antibiotics that we got in case it was strep, so he took them mostly on an empty stomach.

We went to urgent care yesterday and they swabbed his throat for strep, and just in case to rule it out, he got both nostrils swabbed for Covid as well. Just in case. The quick strep came out negative, but they sent it out for culture. Should have results for both tomorrow. Hoping it's just strep at this point.

We're all doing well though. No one else in the house is sick. Or at least not yet. Self isolating until we get the results. Kids are not allowed to go outside and play with the neighbors like they have been doing since this whole BS started. We know them really well, and we all tell each other where we've been, what we've done, etc, so that our kids can play with each other.

We also notified the parents yesterday as soon as everything went down, so everyone is aware in case anything happens. As soon as we get the results, we'll notify everyone again.

 

That's good its staying confined to just him. Hopefully no one else gets it.

Tough they can't be out playing, but even if its just a puke bug, those spread quick and no one wants that.

Hopefully results come soon and they can get back out there!

 

Fingers crossed for quick results. They told us yesterday that we should have them tomorrow, so... but you never know.

I just want the wait to be over. The anxiety and not knowing, and having to wait is gonna be the death of me.

 

Yeah, if people give you the facts you can deal with anything. I don't do great with waiting for big news like that either.

 

Exactly.

Just tell me what it is, so I can move on and plan accordingly. And that goes for EVERYTHING. I don't like not knowing, and then having to react to something at the last minute.

 

I can get really when surprised with things, it doesn't even have to be bad. If my wife came in the room and told me "surprise, 10 day island vaca for free starting tomorrow!" I'd get pissed and not go.

But if you tell me in advance "Hey, we are doing this and its going to f*** x,y and z up pretty bad" I can process it and figure out a plan. I guess it says something about me, but hey, it's how I'm wired.

 

Agreed. I'm the same way.

 

Same. One reason I hate family camping trips (to the point I really will do all I can to never go again) is I hate that we agree upon time to leave and then it never happens, and I'm the problem for saying something no matter how nicely

No day off today... co-worker took the week off, so I convinced them to let me work today so we're not both out and create a shit show for me tomorrow, and give me an extra day off next week.
