Or just ask him if that's what the teenage girls at the highschool do to their jeeps.

Sorry but jeeps for little girls unless they are a dedicated off-road rig.

I did do a little research and I believe only the 5 lug second gens will fit 15" wheels, does that sound right?

It is mildly modded with a 6" lift, 35" MTs, and a steel front bumper, however in the 5 years I've known him, he did 1 Jeep event where he got so much mud in his engine bay he couldn't make it to work. Other than that, it's local dirt roads. I never understood Jeeps appeal to high school girls, my little sister wanted one for a when she was that age too. The image of a blonde girl with oversized aviators in a Wrangler seems so ubiquitous

 

Welp my muffler finally rotted through, was a real trooper but the end finally came.
So i had to do something & now. i have the 2.7 engine. Lot of muffler choices but without the pipe. Factory is $400. Otherwise a muffler with pipe option was mostly Walker, a brand I was just wanting to avoid this time. So this API was kinda the only ready to go system I found that was 'reasonable', close wrt shipping (MA), DIY friendly. I gave up on the DIY - time. I did have the mechanic cut off my pipe from the old system so next time I can just buy the muffler & use this tailpipe. Or, if I sell the truck I'll offer it up - someone will benefit from it.

Cool, I'm headed up to Lake George tonight with my kids (21 &18) to see my folks and do some whitewater rafting. My brother lives on a mountain with some old logging trails, gonna get some pinstripes.....

 

Damn. Jealous of all these awesome sounding weekend plans.

Covid test on Saturday morning for my youngest, and then quarantining until Tuesday so he can have his medical procedure done.

Finally getting his tonsils out! WOOT WOOT! And as a requirement, he needs to get tested 72 hours prior.

 

So what dealership do you guys use? There is apparently a TSB on squeaky clutch pedals, and I don't have any experience with dealerships in the area

 

I had my squeaky clutch pedal replaced at Curry in Watertown. Still squeaked after the TSB replacement. My solution was to dip an acid brush (the kind that one would use to apply flux when sweating copper pipe) in Never-Sieze and lube the crap out of the pedal to pivot joint. Squeak has been gone for a few years now.

 

I had been using my local one for stuff that was covered under warranty when I bought my truck new, and don't really have any bad experiences or bad things to say about them.
