Got another call from Toyota today.

I stopped by earlier and ordered a bracket that I needed for the inverter harness. When I was there I talked to the parts manager about the frame spray and he said they just received the machine but they don't have the "stuff" yet and nobody has been trained yet.
The phone call was to push the appt to the end of September.

 

Who’d you call. I called yesterday to Curry Toyota in Watertown and the appointment taker had no idea what I was talking about. I asked to the a service writer call - still waiting...

 

I was in A1 Toyota buying parts and stopped and talked to a service writer about my truck. He set up an appt right there to have my frame inspected.
I had it inspected (took about half an hour) and they said it passed and he would contact me about the frame spraying. A couple months go by and I don't hear anything.
I stop in again (to buy parts) and ask the same writer for an update and he said everything was put on hold due to Covid. That was about a month ago. This past Sunday I get a text about my appt for Sept. 15th. So I inquired again today and now I have a new appointment date.

I’m clearly late to the party, what’s the story with framespraying are they doing anyone’s or just ones that look rough. Sounds like a new procedure? I do have a friend that got a frame coating a few years back and then the thing still rusted out and they tried to fight her on the frame replacement because they had already treated it.

 

You have to get yours inspected and if it passes, they spray it.

 

In Cockponset? At most of the entrances I thought it said "Closed at sunset" but it would be cool if they allow camping! I've never really been camping, unless you count being forced to sleep in the woods in the Army lol

Shit hit the fan this morning.

Neighbor's wife tested positive for Covid. Got the result this morning, after waking up with a small fever on Saturday and going to get tested. All of our kids play together, so... All four of us are going to get tested in less than an hour, to see what's going on. We all feel fine, but you never know with this shit. Gotta play it safe.

Not sure what the other families on our street are doing, since all of our kids play together everyday.

Thanks! I'm more worried about how my little one will take the swabbing part. My oldest already had it done before, since he needed to be tested before his tonsil removal surgery.

 

I got the test, it’s not too bad. Looks worse than it is honestly just nose feels funny for 5 minutes after.

Yeah... I'm not worried about it myself, nor my wife. My son should be good. It's the little one that I'm worried about.

And then the results as well, of course.
