Sweet, thank you! My girlfriend's mom joked that I'll be the only one who can get to the house once it starts snowing since they all have FWD cars, so we'll have free reign of the cabin during the winter months. Next time I'm up there I'll stop by and have a beer for you guys

Took the day off since there is no school for anyone today, and I still have a shitload of days to use in between my co-worker taking a shit load of time off as well.

 

lemme get some of those days off! Just kidding. Well not really.

I have a couple days off this month. But its for surgery.

 

Hopefully nothing major.

 

Nothing crazy (At least thats what they tell me). Finally getting around to addressing the hernia I have had for years. It hasn't been an issue until now; picking the baby up from the crib, and lifting him in his carrier into the truck.

Should have taken care of it years ago but the the thought of surgery scares the shit out of me.

 

Gotta make sure that you are in tip top shape for the little one.

Well yesterday was fun. Non-stop busy at the polls.
So many new voters, I figured out "the look" pretty quickly of the new voters who needed the more detailed overview of what now.
Everything flowed so quickly, people knew what they wanted to do. In & out once they knew how to mark their choice.
Then the 3am Presidential press conference explaining his victory & declaring 'they' were already trying to steal it from him.
Silly Donald - even the idiotti know Lady Liberty aint sung yet.

Good luck Mike. That's a pretty routine surgery - don't freak yourself out about it.
Think my Dad's had hernia surgery 3x now, the last time at 87 years old, came out better than he went in.
it's important you're in tip top so you can play helicopter with the kid(s....) ;-)

Get it taken care of.
My operation was performed at the VA in West Haven in and out same day, and two days later i was walking around as if nothing happened, But no lifting.

The hardest thing is getting shaved down there and trying to get that dam glue off.

You'll be happy if you get it taken care of now while your young instead of waiting till you older.

Im for sure getting it done at this point. I got a referral a couple years ago (paid out of pocket) and wussed out and didn't pursue it.

This past month, I had another referral, consult with the surgeon, pre-op physical, and blood draw. As anxious as I have been about the whole thing, I’m just ready to finally get it taken care of.

 

You'll wonder why you've put it off for so long. Surgery can be intimidating, but this is pretty routine and shouldn't be a big deal.

Going thru life disabled for no reason is not the way to live my man.
