    Can't get my snowblower started in prep for tomorrow's storm. Where is the air intake on a snowblower? Want to give it a shot of starter fluid. Had good luck with that method on other small engines that were hard to start. Just can't find the air intake.

    You can see the carb hanging down and there should be a hose going away from the engine that is the air intake or so I've read but can't find it.

    Thanks for the pdf but I got it going before I saw it. While taking apart the cover, not easy btw, to look for the air intake, I found the primer hose was split right at the end by the primer button. Cut that portion off and reconnected it to the button. Put all back together and was able to pull start for the first time in years. Did not need to use the electric start. Started on the first pull too. So I guess I just wasn't getting a prime.

    Think I may have found that air intake anyway. Hard to see but right in the middle of the close up pic, rectangular opening facing inward.

    Snowblowers don’t tend to have an air cleaner on them. I’d bet the intake is right behind and below the choke knob. Those primer bulbs and small hose dry out and crack from the ethanol in the fuel.

    2. Should'a fixed the snowblower after the December snow. Alas I didn't. :help::frusty: Skewered myself good this time!

    but on a side note - my Schumacher battery maintainer came in & I got the Tacoma hooked up to it. Danged if the cab light came on when I opened the door - that truck just constantly outperforms my expectations.
