    Looking for direct input -- Does anyone here have an oil catch can in their ride, I have a 2013 Access cab 4.0 4x4. and im using Pennzoil Plat 5-30is it worth it to install a oil catch can

    Tom, I do not have a catch can on mine. If it were supercharged, then I would consider it but for NA, I don't see the need.

    No chocolate in the fill cap (just a little in the Winter time ) but seeing other posts here and other forums some people have them and seem to collect small volumns of oil . but looking at the locations some but not all seem to live in hotter area of the country do off roading and towing. So im just trying to get as feel if one would apply to me At this time I think not .
    I drive 90% highway and the closest I get to off roading is in Saxon River Vt. getting to my buddies house on a dirt road which is off of a dirt road that is off of a dirt road, as a lot of dirt roads in Vt are city streets ,and with Synthitic oil which I have been using for over 40 years I get little to no burn off and the inside of my Trucks & volvo xc90, motorcycle and lawn mowers are as clean as the day they left the factory (my 1998 Ford Ranger )had a intake gasket leak so the intake manifold had to be taken off and at 195000 miles and I have the pictures of the inside of the engine so like I said it looks like it left the factory yesterday

    Santas212 so a search on this site plus what it does is recover oil mist after the Pcv valve rerouted the vapors into a sealed can where the mist condences to a liquid so the mist/ oil doesn't get injected into the I take manifold where it can coat the intake valves. The can gets emptied one in a while some cans have a dipstick
    Also check YouTube for demos etc.
