Got power back at day job in Brookfield about mid-day Friday. They were working in front of night job Friday evening, so might be on by now, but we kept on our united Rentals generator.

A big Kudos to all the folks helping with cleanup & restoration - doing an amazing job getting power back up FAST. Thank You!

 

Marks cruise night near Bradley airport is a huge show. June 4th is Jeep, bronco & offroad truck night. Anyone want to caravan over? I'd get there for 6ish

Got power back!!!!!! No more house hopping between my parents and my in-laws, since Tuesday night. God it feels good to be home. Shout out to the crews working endlessly to get power back to everyone eventually.

Took the motorcycle out for a ride today no problems until I stopped at Cycle Gear in Vernon and then ignition switch decided it did not want to do ignition work anymore so now I'm waiting for my friend to pick me up with his trailer

All because of a bad ignition switch. You would think that a switch would last longer than 42 years. Should last at least 50 years.
Once home took 20 min to change switch.

Howdy all, so I was looking through a few pages back in this thread and when I noticed something @dcorbalis did you get a set of ray 10's?

 

@vssman Hey Paul I borrowed a tuner from a guy at work to test my CB and I'm holding around 2-2.5 which I know is not good. Added an extendo spring and got a little better but when I move the Mic around the cab while testing the meter moves around slightly. Any ideas on what would cause that? My antenna is at the end of the bed not near the cab. Any ideas

And we also checked for continuity on everything except from one end of the coax to the other cuz it's too far from each other to hit with the meter and everything was good

My first mod almost 6 months ago and what I thought was easier but still messing it up. Hahahaha

 

Keith, check all of your connections. What cable and antenna are you running? Does it require a good ground and, if so, do you have one?

 

Yea thank you we messed around a little more and I painted the mount where it grounds so its not grounded. I'm going to clean it up and see what happens.
