    7th, 8th, and 9th grades are the truly challenging ones to teach. My English 9 classes mostly have "repeaters," which means that they're older.

    If ya think placing a misbehaving student in a seat at the back of the room, already crowded with all the kids who like to sit at the back, is any type of good disciplinary idea...

    Mostly that seat is a spot where I sit on occasion to talk to a student back there after they’ve pulled some BS. Just did that an hour ago.
