So anyone available to help with this bed swap? 26/27Jan2019 Off Federal Road near Costco, in Brookfield CT

Was planning to do this swap in the spring, but on the slight chance all the stars align...
If the owner says okay, our old space will be empty & I was thinking an indoor heated garage with a restroom & a pizza place up the block (John's best delivers) would be a great opportunity for a gathering to do the bed swap.

So if I get the okay to use the space, anyone available Sat 26th or Sun 27th to help. 6 average to strong people, Say 10am - noon ++ depending on BS levels. Plenty of gravel parking lot for helpers, B/S ing. Task is drive in truck. Unstrap bed, lift bed off, place on floor, flip bed. Undo 6 bolts on truck, open tail lamps & unplug harness, unscrew gas fill surround. Lift old bed off / slip around filler neck, someone watches for tangled wires. Place old bed on floor. Fluid film any surprises. Lift on new bed, fasten 6 bolts, fish wires up, connect tail lamps, screw lamps back in, attach new bumper, connect wires. Put old bed on truck, strap on. Done (unless anyone wants to come home to help put old bed onto trailer at home in Danbury). Pizza & B/S.

IF, if, if.

But anyone interested?
I prefer Sat only so I can clean the space on Sunday at leisurely pace, but either can work for me & the space is indoors, so weather not really an issue. BUT, I haven't even asked yet about the space - LOL. Just thought I'd see if anyone available. I'd guess boss would probably want to join in TBH.

 

I'll be down. Let me just check with the event planner, a.k.a. the Mrs, and see if there is anything going on, and I'll let you know. DISCLAIMER: I'm not handy, AT ALL, but I'm always willing to help as long as someone else "supervises" the job and tells me what and how to do it.

Used the Tacoma to help a friend clean out a garage of a common related friend. Recently passed on. Moto Guzzi bike and related stuff.

Spouse was greatful for the effort.

We all know that the call will arrive someday but it isn't any easier when it does.
To paraphrase a line from a Indiana Jones movie,
" Life gives you many opportunities but as we get older life starts to take away. " So enjoy life to the fullest.
So as the Canadian French say SANTE --- loose translation to health.

I'm actually at the DMV right now
So I'm blasting through threads that I can't keep up with
I might break the system today,
Never had to re-register a bike and truck, and get new registration for the trailer all at the same time.

 

Sorry to hear that... that you're at the DMV.

 

You don’t need me to tell you how much that sucks. Spent 3 hours at the dmv in Enfield this past June when I bought the 2500; hated every moment of it.

Knowing how efficient this state is at doing things, I hope they didn’t make you wait in line for each transaction.

I can imagine it now: “I can take care of your trailer reg now, but you will need to take a number and wait in line over there to take care of your bike”

Renewed my CDL last month at the Bilgeport office.
Got out of there, maybe 20 mins. tops.
