Wifey tried some self therapy; I’m not convinced. Needs a lift and bigger tires.

    Morning...a few days late.

What are you driving for a Super Duty? I hate to say, but I'm thinking about selling the taco for one.

I'd make sure Ford figured out how to close doors before I buy a Ford truck again. Look it up, all of their trucks (not sure about ranger) since 2015 havent' been able to keep their doors closed. That's why I ditched mine, new SD's are having the same issues. It's on their forums and I've talked to Ford dealers about it. It's one of the most pathetic and embarrassing things I think has ever happened to a company and for some reason there has been no big safety recall and they've kept it out of the news. My doors would literally not lock or stay closed anytime under about 25 degrees.

I LOVE the ford SD vs any of the others, but I won't buy Ford again until they fix such basic shit. New Rams are amazing from all reports, not sure how long you keep trucks and how long they will last, but first few years have been good for this new generation Ram is putting out.

Hmmmm......that is frustrating. I just looked up a video on that, crazy how it isn't a recall.

As for how long I plan to keep the truck, at least 10 years. I have had my truck since 09...things have changed and I need a bigger cab and bed.

I don't know how long the new rams would last, I know my brother has a rebel ram and has been loving it for about 6 months. But 6 months is not 10 years. I know the new heavy duty ones are coming out as well. I'm sure there are some other guys on here that might have a more informed opinion. Ford is also releasing a new 7.2 gasser which is supposed to be made to be bullet proof. If that came out as expected and they managed to make the doors close, it could be something that would last a lot longer than 10.

    Morning everyone. Happy Sunday.

Off to soccer in a bit.

Beat to shit today... Cutting my friend's grass this summer because he asked me to, so went to do it yesterday afternoon. It hadn't been cut at all yet this season... It was a fucking mess. Had to cut both the front and back about 4 times just to try and make it look decent. It was damp underneath still, so it got to the point that I was just moving clumps of grass around. Hopefully from here on out it'll be easier and look cleaner.

And now I'll be cutting the guy across my house as well. Selling his house, not living there, so it's a mess.

Charging each $40 since the yard is decent sized, so that's some nice spending cash.

If you get one with closing doors (which is a much smaller problem on the SD from what I understand) then I think that would be a great truck!

I had a 2001 F250 before the Taco. Didn't realize that doors won't close thing was a thing.
I found Ford trucks were designed for everything to fail at 100,001 miles. Stupid basic foundational stuff, and the parts cost luxury import prices. Was quickly frustrating & was larger than I really needed, so I dumped it at a costly loss. The Tacoma has handled age much better & parts pricing seems better. My landscaper neighbor finally replaced his Ford for a GMC - seems to be going well so far. My carpenter/handyman neighbor replaced his newer Tacoma for an F150, which hasn't moved since it came home so not sure what's up as it's plated. So the Ford guys dumped Ford.

I have a buddy on his 2nd Ram. He always says how great they are. He loves them while saying how cheaply built they are. Turns his vehicles in every 5 years. only real issues he has seems to be the endless recalls. Seems like his Rams are going in for recall work every 6 months (but probably just my imagination & his not letting it go). FWIW, good luck.
