Heck yessss ,looks outstanding how does it ride so far? I know after I lifted mine there was definitely a difference in ride quality much stiffer but now has softened up a bit and I actually kinda like it until I ride in a coil over remote res front asand rear UCAs and a full leaf pack my setup should happen next year some time... But once again looks great and oh ya I'm definitely going with a bruteforce fab front bumper cause yours looks wicked awesome

 

it's just a spacer, no change to the shocks so ride is about the same. this should give my tires the clearance they need from a minor rub when turning sharp and going over rough terrain .

 

As if your truck didn't look sick already... Dang! Jelly right now.

Forgot to post yesterday that I saw you @dcorbalis, on the highway, on my way home .

 

Sooo I had some down time at work last night and did the whole dream truck thing and made a list of every thing I wanted to accomplish this and the total almost made my jaw hit the ground hahaha cause iit was over 12000 hahaha hey I can dream right My pride and joy's first snow fall of the year and also the first snow sense the lift,wheels,tires and Soft Topper. Can't wait for real snow and having fun in it. Yeeeehaaaaw

 

Anyone know what Nepaug is looking like? The ban expired yesterday (10/26) for motorized vehicles, not sure if they actually re-opened the forest roads. I was gonna call the DEEP to find out. Planning a wheeling trip in the NE trip planning thread for 11/6, and if Nepaug is actually open, that might be a good spot to go. And if we get bored there, it looks like Cockaponset State Forest down in Haddam area looks decent from videos i've seen.

 

Really that would be awesome let me know what you find out I'd deff make as trip out there with ya. How bout anyone else down for a nice forest service road exploration ?? Anybody ? ?

Head over to the NE trip planning thread, I tagged a bunch of folks who showed interest a couple days ago. Looks like we could get a solid group. Up to like 6-10 people interested between TacomaWorld and the WranglerForum that I'm also on.

 

QUESTION: Just got the first CT registration renewal, and it's double the cost of my Wrangler and our Mini. My truck has a regular passenger plate. Do they get you for some pickup truck fee crap even though it's non commercial? Annoying!

BTW, I am in Old Wethersfield, CT

Are you sure you have passenger plates? CT registers pickups as combination not passenger which means you pay regular registration fees plus a fee for GVW. I'd have to look at the cost of my reg, but it's more than my car. I came from a 3/4 (8800 GVW) truck to my Tacoma and that was just she of twice the cost of the Tacoma... Gotta love good ol, Malloy...

 

They are the same plates I had on my both my Libertys.

Here is some stuff from the DMV site. :A pick-up truck can be registered as a passenger vehicle if the gross weight does not exceed 8500 lbs" Mine is 5500lbs on the reg form. My insurance guy said it was an error the dealer made. It was a FORD place that sold big commercial trucks, probably force of habit.
