    Anyone have any tips on plugging a tire? Got a flat and no shops can take me at this hour. Need to get to work tomorrow. Punctured inbetween the treads and no culprit stuck in there. Should be an easy plug. On my way to get plug kit from Advanced before they close too.

    Easy peasy. Put a plug in the insertion tool. Fill the tire with air. Pull the screw/nail out and quickly put the awl in the hole. Run the awl back and forth a few times to even it out. Keep the awl in the hole. Put rubber cement on the entire plug. Pull the awl and insert the plug leaving about 1/2”ish out of the hole. Test for air leak with soapy water. Top off the tire with air.

    Seems to have worked. Passed bubble test. However, the insertion tool pulled the plug out 2x before I got it to stay in. Hope there was still enough rubber cement on the plug after that because I did not reapply. Going for a quick test drive.
