    But do not have a heat gun will have to use a hair dryer that should work just fine?

    It should, you may want to purchase some Goo Gone to remove any left over residue once you have the badge off. You can youtube some "debadging" videos for reference

    Truck looks GREAT! We tend toward a more blacked out look around here too. After wheels/tires/suspension if you just want an appearance change there are some good choices of smoked or different taillights. We use plasti-dip a lot and we sell new, black emblems too if you need those. It's all go though, we agree - no rush, take your time, but enjoy making it you.     What I did on my truck was plasti-dipped the badges,no need to remove them. I also bought a color match grille because I didn’t think that plasti-dip would hold up to the extra scrubbing to get the bug shit off.
