    Hey guys,

The lady and I are thinking about relocating to Florida from Connecticut. I love my tacoma, but like everyone else, hating the way the transmission is being a twat. Just curious for those down south with the 16s and 17s, being basically flat, have you had any problems with the transmission? I constantly have problems on hilly roads and highways. That tends to be when I have the problems the most here in CT. Otherwise, I love my truck.

Thanks for the input guys! Much appreciated

No issues here! I'm in the panhandle area. Runs smooth no complaints.

Glad to hear! We're looking Ocala area. We just came back from a two week stay, back to a covering of two feet of snow :annoyed:

I saw a lot of new tacos down there on the roads and was thinking that the entire time. I don't wanna trade my taco in for something else but the tranny is really getting unsettling for me.

This was actually on a trip that was slightly uphill from my condo on the ocean to my home which is more inland.

Have you taken your Tacoma to the dealer to verify that your tcm has the latest software level and if you have the tow package that your transmission fluid is at the right level? I had issues with my 16' and had the transmission fluid checked/topped off after that helped but not completely eliminated the issues I was having I had them perform the tcm software update. It's been over 4k miles and no issues to speak of.

Yeah I've never come close to 26mpg even going downwind driving 55mph. I average about 20-21mpg and I'm easy on the pedal. The Rev 1 has made the truck perform better and I'm guessing you'll like it more in Florida. Also, there is some fun offroading in the Ocala National Forest.

All that being said, I'm still not 100% happy with the engine/tranny of the 3rd Gen.

Yea, both TSB and rev1 as well as fluid topped off. I was low my first service, wasn't as much as other people here but low nonetheless. Still ornery on the highway. Only time I have issues with it.

    Hmmm

Here it cost me $1.9M for a tiny 2+2 by ocean condo with $900-1500 monthly HOA

On hgtv show condos in FL cost $200,000

Just don't understand the severe disparity

    Just unbelievable it's so cheap

Was curious if there is a catch

I mean if 200k gets you on beach condo aren't everyone moving there ?
