    Hi folks,
Well I suppose I better formally introduce myself now that I'm actually a Tacoma owner. I just picked up last night a 2007 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport 2wd with the 5 ft bed in black sand pearl. Its got 50k miles already but i got it for $20k. I think I got a pretty good deal as I spent the last couple weeks hounding dealers and calling on pretty much every double cab Tacoma for sale in Southern California. I'm pretty excited to make it my own but before I worry about any fun upgrades I need to decide how I'm going to make sure the tailgate is secure. My buddy got his stolen off his Tundra within the first couple months of owning it.

I've learned a lot from you guys while trying to educate myself enough to make a decent purchase. I think I knew more about Tacomas than pretty much every salesman I encountered. I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge you guys have and look forward to tapping into that quite a bit more!

    Thanks guys!
    -Scott

    Tow Hitch,
Welcome I'm new here too and have owned Tacoma's in the past. You got a nice deal, I'm from So Cal and have been looking for months and just picked up a 2008 Access cab PreRunner non TRD 4.0l auto with 15k miles for $20K. The stealer had it listed for $25k for almost two months :) Crazy right?

I'm still driving it nowhere just to drive it :)

Thanks guys! I know what you mean 49er, it took some searching and some patience at the stealerships to really get a deal I wanted. My fiance sat through a few sessions with me and said she's never buying another car with me. Last year when we got her Pilot she wasn't quite as impatient. ;) Sounds like you did pretty well yourself, you got way low miles. Congrats!
