Yeah, I'm still deployed to afghan, and my new Tacoma is sitting in the driveway at home!!! I've wanted a Tacoma for a LONG time. Wife picked it up from the dealership with .7 mi. on the odometer which I was stoked about. Of course by the time I get to them it'll be closer to 5k!!! What can ya do though, right? Anyways here are the specs.

    2011 Tacoma Dbl Cab
    V6 4x4 short bed
all stock, but it is gloss black, which just so happens to be the fastest color!

Not getting crazy with the mods, at least for now. I've found through my favorite Harley forums that a good knowledge base to pull from is priceless. Looks like a great forum and I've gotten a lot from ya'll already as a lurker. Look forward to eventually giving back. I know ya'll like pics, attached is the best I have for now.

    U.S. Army SGT, 1BCT 4ID, Iraq 13mo, Afghan 12mo orders(we'll see what happens) :oldglory:

    Welcome!!

I just got back form Afghanistan. I was in Kandahar Prov. That place sucks!! Good luck and keep your head down.

I know you didn't ask my advise so I'll give it to ya anyway. When you hear the rocket alarm.... take them seriously. The longer your there the more lax you become. We were 3 days from leaving country when we got hit and had one KIA because he didn't hit the deck.

Thats my $.02. I'll pray for you. Good luck and God Speed!

Welcome to Tacoma World brother from Ft. Irwin, Ca! Just got back from MeZ. It killed me everyday knowing I had my mods waiting in the garage. Be safe, keep your head down, and we will all be patiently awaiting your safe return home.

No kidding - my roommate doesn't even roll out of bed for the alarms.

Congrats on the purchase! Mine is sitting at home, waiting for the tires that arrived yesterday to be put on. My wife loves her car enough to leave mine alone, aside from the weekly roll around the block.
