Just ordered from knifecenter.com this two beauties!!! Free shipping to P.R. and one of the knives was at a better price than Amazon. Plus amazon wouldn't deliver the spyderco to P.R. for God knows what reason. Let me know what you think!!!

You'll love that spyderco. My local shop has several and there's a fly fishing shop next door and the owner gave the guys at the fly shop one and they can't get it to rust lol.

Took the "old reliable" apart tonight for a good cleaning and lube. Had this issued to me 9 years ago, put it through hell and have yet to have it fail. It's the made in USA version, not the Chinese one

Thanks @Boogyman, I went with the spyderco because once I went to the beach with my Kershaw Blur and forgot I had it with me and went for a swim:facepalm:, it got rusted soon after. On another note, it really was a great experience purchasing through knifecenter.com, they contacted me instantly to confirm the shipping address. And like I said, no freight charge to Puerto Rico and at the same price point as Amazon, thats good enough for me!!!:headbang:

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I got it from Aliexpress. The original version used S35vn crucible steel for the blade, but I couldn't find any of those.

There are tons of "cheaper" clones out there using cheaper steel, G10 scales, steel frames, no tritium etc. - so be wary.

Both knives arrived today. Extremely impressed with the Spyderco H1, I'll definitely look into buying another model from them!!!

I have one just like it...its a little heavy but still a good knife

I have a kershaw just like that...it holds its edge quite well...only thing you have to watch is the bolts that hold the blade in place come loose so you'll hear the blade scrape the handle when you close it, if you tighten it too much the blade wont open. You have to tighten it just enough so the blade is centered in the handle but not too tight to not open.

Picked up a couple fixed blade imports to test out:

LW Seeker: Awesome all-around knife. This video from the original designer "testing it out" is pretty entertaining (on mute), and convinced me to order one: http://player.youku.com/player.php/sid/XNDk4NjgyNjEy/v.swf
    • D2 Steel, Blackwash, Spanto grind
    • G10 Handles
    • 6mm (almost 1/4" thick)
    • Paracord wrapped handle
    • Kydex Sheath
      [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

LW S35vn Fixed-Blade: This knife is classy. Beautiful lines and beveling throughout and it feels great in the hand. There are a few discussions out there about this "lesser known" beauty: http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?191920-LW-Knives-fixed-blade-in-S35VN
    • Crucible CPM S35vn Steel, Satin
    • Carbon Fiber Handles
    • Nice Kydex Sheath with Vert./Horiz. clip
      [IMG]
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

LW D2 Fixed-Blade: The less-expensive mate to the above knife. D2 steel, slightly different grind on the central spine and G10 handled.
    • D2 Steel, Blackwash
    • G10 Handles
    • Nice Kydex Sheath with Vert./Horiz. clip

Feels really good in hand the g10 is super grippy and the blade steel is great. First time I've handled a compression lock knife so I hit my finger a couple times when flipping it open. Just be aware of finger placement and you'll be fine. Blade was hair popping sharp straight from the manufacturer so that's good too. All around happy with it. Not to happy about giving it away though! Hahaha
