    No problem.

They're nice knives.. Russian maybe makes them a little more unique in the knife world, but certainly a quality blade with a good name behind them.. I first heard of them maybe 2-3 years ago? They've kind of made their mark on the scene, good quality, good materials.. it's a great gift.

Also extremely faked from China. Not saying yours is a fake. And since your dad gave it to you it doesn't really matter because it should be priceless. Just saying.

I'm excited for that one. I ordered them so they are at my house just waiting for me to get home.

    895.00 for a knife?!
I'd expect a better look for that price. Like an antler handle from an elk that Grizzly Adams killed with a rock or something :D

Haven't seen any myself, up close. The internet and YouTube pretty much leave me the impression they're largely collector pieces, not workers.

I have a few "expensive" pieces that I'm not afraid to carry. But a lot of these really expensive knives are collector pieces. Not crazy about buying something I cannot use-they're awesome to look at tho.

    Totally agree.

I have a hard enough time using $150 knives, so much in fact I gave almost my entire inventory away to a buddy of mine who passed last year unexpectedly.

I'm supposed to get them back, but his sister hasn't had the time for the last year..

Nonetheless, I grew a preference for fixed blades, and I still have a few of them; and I think just one folder. I have a BHK/CC Woodcrafter with a custom BHL leather shesth and have owned it 5 years maybe. Can't bring myself to use it, either. :bananadead:

Same here. I have some really expensive collectors knives, but will never use it, so I sometimes question why I even have them. Most of my every day carry knives are $30-$60 Kershaw, Gerber or Victorinox and they all work just perfectly fine. At least for what I use them for.

Sorry, but you don't have to abuse your knife to use it. It's a cutting tool, not a screwdriver or prybar.
This Marifone custom matrix R was $1200 and $800 for the matching mini matrix R. I carry, enjoy, and use them both a lot, for cutting. Use the right tool for the job!

Of course, I don't carry or use them both at the same time... not usually anyway :D

Thanks! I got another Damascus and Koa fixed blade inbound. I'll post pics as soon as it comes in.
And BTW it's all relative. a $200 knife is expensive to some. $1000 for a knife is crazy for others. But these Rad/toxic fab full dress knives sell for well over $10K
Way way waaaay out of my league...
