All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

I bought it as trade fodder. I think it will be highly sought after once it's all gone. Then I'll put it up for trade towards a CPK fixed blade! lol

I have the PM2 with that coating as well. Second day I had it I went to a party and used it to cut open a beer can to shotgun. Felt like an idiot cuz it looked like it scratched up the coating near the tip pretty bad but after washing the blade and using it for a while it looks fine. It's a pretty hard coating so idont think the blade actually scratched I think the aluminum from the can actually rubbed off onto the blade. But after awhile the coating definitely faded a little bit and scuffed some. Here's what it looks like after using it for like 3 years.

Spyderco's DLC is difficult to scratch. What may appear to be scuffs and scratches, you can buff it all away with an oily rag.

Okay. The Carothers Field knife is on my list for sure.

Another one that is creeping on me; the Wenger knives guy. I’m an not a tracker guy at all. Dave Wenger makes one I kinda want. But his ESSENTIALS blade looks like the perfect hunting knife. With his flat grind.

The new Sebenza 31 is out. Or at least announced. They've got a 50th Lunar Landing Anniversary, two different hardwood inlays, Micarta, and plain finishes. Pricey. $525 on up to $600. The CRK site says maybe 4 months for some. 9 or more for others.

I hate they angled the pocket clip like on the Inkosi, I prefer the clip to sit on the lockbar. I do like the ceramic ball interface in a 21 frame though!

How do you guys sharpen your knives? I mean really sharp. I suck with the stones and guessing the blade angle, yea I know about using a magic marker and all that. Im starting to look at one of those systems that use the set guide rods. But there not cheap. I do use the crock sticks that are set to an angle but that angle isn’t what works sometimes and I have to use the magic marker method and then compensate.

Buy once, cry once. Get a DMT set, the best diamonds there are! I'm still using a set that's over 20 years old....

I’m using water stones. Took a long time to get proficient.

Having said that; I have a Lansky diamond system coming today in the mail. Total wild card. My new knife with M390 feels super hard on a water stone. Like I’m making no progress.

Wicked Edge sharpening system. There are other, similar, sharpening systems. Some cheaper, others more expensive.

What makes these better than freehand is that they help maintain correct angles. They also let you reprofile if you want to as well.

Those work, but ok at best. Due to the flex in the plastic guide. If you're looking for guided sharpener, Wicked Edge or Edge-Pro are probably the best I have used. I have been freehanding for over 30 years, so my muscle memory helps me hold a consistent angle.

Not bad. It lacks the various different stones available for other systems, like the Lansky. It is convenient though.

I should add the demonstrator’s technique sucks tho. And you cannot apply any real pressure because of the construction.
