Groomsman gifts for a wedding I'm in this weekend. Steelwill Intrigue

 

My dad sent me a post about this sharpener. They're about $75 if you order on their site. It's a chinese made sharpener so if figured I'd look on ebay. Sure enough I found it on ebay for $35 shipped. Took the risk and ordered it. To my surprise it got here in like 2 weeks and they actually sent the same product.

To start the stones are pretty shit. Gonna make my own steel blanks and use high grit sand paper to polish the edges. But even with the stock stones I got it razor sharp no polished edge but still good.

With a couple modifications this thing will be good and still way cheaper than most other sharpeners. Who knows how long it will last but I like the rotating mechanism for the blade and with an angle finder you can find what you need every time.

For $35 I'm happy with it.

 

Now that's a pretty sweet gift. I got a giant beer stein with my name on it, would rather have the knife.

Haha I gave my groomsmen giant glass beer mugs with their names engraved on em. But yeah the knife is pretty cool, I gave the groom the idea hahaha

 

Not a knife, but I got a Work Sharp Ken Onion sharpener this week. It has gave new life to my very used kitchen knives. Wish I would have got one sooner.

 

When my Daughter got married last year my new Son in law gave all the groomsmen a 30 oz YETI cup with there name on it. I thought it was pretty cool so he gave me one for Christmas.

 

This is my Benchmade Bugout, which I carry almost every day.

 

Blue Bugout is my daily. The old spyderco is the ultimate boomerang knife, she will disappear for a year or more.

ISO-I'm looking for a Gerber Strongarm BDZ1 if anyone has one they would part with.

 

My Bugout is getting beat looking. But whatever, it’s sharp has all get out.

 

send it in for maintenance, they gave me a whole new knife one time.

 

Thought I would join the knife conversation. Here is my Mora Garberg Carbon. My photo keeps getting rotated. Not sure why. Sorry.

 

I have taken this knife on my last few holes and i like it mora and mora every time i use it!

 

i did once. came back cleaned and lubed and sharpened. very sharp.

at work we pass around this tiny stone the grape harvesters use. most of my knife ugliness is from some errant swipe i did sharpening my knife in the field after a rough day with it. i sometime use it to cut branches out of my was when i use survey equipment.

 

Send it again and see what happens!

 

Any feedback on the Gerber propel knives? Lookin to pick one up soon, not sure yet on whether to get the auto version or assisted opening. The later only seems to come with a serrated blade (which I don’t really want/need) but the former might not be super legal and I want it for EDC
