This is funny. So my $300 Dozer fillet knife does a great job butchering animals. But after watching the bearded butchers YouTube channel and hearing them talk about their knife of choice, the Victorinox angled fillet, I decided to give it a try. For only $30, Wow! Amazing! I just finished butchering 2 wild hogs and 3 deer, and the Victorinox just kicked ass!

Tested put the sharpener and I like it! This cheapo knife slices apples like butter now. It only came with the 200 and 600 grit stones, good for quick sharpening, but I think it can go further. So I ordered the 800 and 1000 grit stones. But I like the system in general, no fiddling with flipping the knife, and stone swaps are easy.

I can concur that these knives are awesome and super sharp.. I am lucky enough to live close to the Victorinox HQ here in CT and they have a spring and fall "sale" and I can get all their stuff for stupid cheap.

Practicing on knives with softer steels but im loving the new sharpener so far. This Kershaw Atmos is pretty sharp with the 1000 grit stone.

My Dad is the type of guy that carries a $4 pocket knife and buys the cheap $9 commando knives as Christmas presents. I decided he needed an upgrade.

I have a Wicked Edge as well. Easily one of the better sharpening systems. There are other systems for sure. But this one tops them all :D

Yeah ive only had cheap budget sharpeners and this one is by far the best I've had. I'll probably end up picking up finer and finer stones as time goes on lol but im happy with it so far.

Step dad felt it needed a couple more coats of polyurethane but this was a lot of fun. I may have to go get some scales for a spyderco next time....

He is going to send it to me after it's completely sealed and waxed

Gerber US-ASSIST - 420HC, SERRATED - on the small side but a great pocket knife that actually fits in the pocket. Has a clip on the other side with a lock. I like it because the handle has weight so it felt more balanced than others I looked at.

    What haven’t I changed?
You and everyone else lol. There's a black reverse tanto on r/knife_swap right now but the seller wants $250 for it, otherwise if one is listed it's claimed within a few minutes. I've been hoping for another drop of the blue Ti version but I have no idea if that will happen again.
