    Thank you.
This design was inspired by the TRM Atom and Newtron. I really love how simple and light those two knives. IMO they are some of the best EDC knifes around and at a great price point.
That is what I want to offer with this model. Light, easy carry, thumbstud, liner lock, tall flat grind bevel on a thin 20CV or Magnacut blade, and USA made at an attractive price.
I’m putting a ton of forethought into my machine processes and fixture design so I can hit the price point I want for this knife.

Oh yeah, this model is called The TUNA!

I’ve got the titanium liner material, thumbstuds, washers, pivot barrels and carbon fiber on hand. Just need to order the 20CV and Magnacut steel.

    What haven’t I changed?
it looks very similar to Craig Brown’s FSD, which I still haven’t tried. So I guess I’m on board lol.

This one arrived today after a long wait:

It’s a Tego, made by Gypsy EDC. Really well crafted blade and sheath. This one features a straight, sharpened half spine.

In an effort to squander yet more dirty paper
and further spoil myself (and the knife) I placed an order for a sheath from Patriot Leather Co.

Anyone else here have their stuff? I was surprised to see the color choices, especially when it came to the stitching!! I went with Kodiak leather, so mine will look different than the one pictured, also minus the ferro rod. Very eager to get it. Read good things.

Well damn. I finally decided to pick up a nice (but not crazy nice) knife. My son has spent a small fortune on them in the last few years and told me that Benchmade is his go to manufacturer because of quality and being American made. I picked up a nice griptilian as my first one, but after reading this page, crap.
Who makes decent custom knives, and what would I need to spend?

Those are good questions. I'm sure the answers will evolve over time!
Right now I'm just using it for camping and EDC and that was pretty much the high end of my budget, but after seeing some of the custom knives out there, I'll probably be revising my thoughts on the matter!

I’d look into the TRM Atom. It’s a light EDC knife this great steel and ergos plus it’s made in the USA

Have a look at KAI which is the parent company of ZT and Kershaw. Kershaw's like the little brother of ZT. Both make great knives and they do work with name designers. Prices are reasonable.

Since this page is devoid of blades, I’ll pop mine up.
My son said he would never get a black blade, but I’m kinda going with a theme.

My current EDC is a Kershaw spring action. Holds an edge quite well. Found it inside an old Tacoma someone sold to me a few years back.
