I don't ever publish pictures or even discuss any weaponry that I may or may not own, but I'll just say this: Opinel makes a badass and very, very old-school (as in from the late 1800s) knife.

Not sure what a "truck knife" is, but for an all-around utility knife that is small enough to skin a deer but big enough to baton through a log, the BK16 is a great camp knife that isn't threatening or mall ninja in the least, just in case you get pulled over by an over-zealous cop.

    http://www.kabar.com/knives/detail/166

I've buffed the finish off this one since I took this photo. The thick epoxy finish is a bit annoying but nothing a good buffing wheel won't fix.

Did you buy the ESEE 5 already? I just wanted to advise you that a lot of people feel as if the handles on the ESEE 5 are a bit small, so go with an ESEE 6.

If you don't want the size of an ESEE 6, I would then recommend an Ontario RTAK-1. It's an ESEE 5 blade, with ESEE 6 handles. It's a different company, and doesn't come with the awesome ESEE sheath or warranty, but the Ontario RTAK-1 is less than $60 so you can use some of the money you saved and purchase a custom leather sheath.

If you like your ZT301 or the ZT30x series in general, then you'll like the lionspy. It has the same sort of feel with the wide handle and wide blade. It carries in the pocket deeper, and it a bit lighter.

Naw I haven't bought the Esse get I would actually like to feel them in my hand before I get it... Not sure if its the same with folders but I can tell the difference in something you may want rather than what may be bad ass... Haha...

The lionspy is great cuz of its light weight and size... In comparison to the 0301... The 0301 is bad ass but heavier than hell... Hence why I got rid of it... Also with the lionspy, I love the deep pocket clip thing now... Real discrete for its size... Just like my 0561...

Don't know what your definition of use for a truck knife is, but I'd buy a Becker if I wanted a designated truck knife.

Not a Beckerhead and I don't own one, but if someone popped my window and jacked my Bark River I'd be really upset. If it was a $50-60 Becker I'd feel less so.

Good point also something I have been considering... I don't want to spend to much on a truck knife and have it jacked...

Where as my folders are always on me...

In the pic not in this order, are Master Barlow, Browning, Gerber, Kershaw, OldTimer, Swiss Army, Queen Steel, my Cub Scout knife and the 40 year old machete was my dads

The Buck knives are the 119 and 121, the good ones made in USA in 1980, not the junk coming from china today

Many people do not realize that 12% of todays Buck knives are made in China until they buy it and get home, I had to throw in a few box cutters for giggles :)
