I have a liking for the "Sharpfinger" style knifes (older ones), I picked this one up the other day, NIB 1976

I haven't bought anything exciting in awhile, and even this is kinda boring really, but I've wanted one for awhile now, and kinda hard to get. For me in Hawaii anyway... And hard to get cheap.

Both the N680 blade and the safety cutter are automatic, and lightning fast. Carbide glass breaker too.
This one is staying in the truck.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I just ordered a dedicated truck/SAR knife. Props to Dave Anderson (Kershawguy).

He is custom-making me a Black Tanto Kershaw Blur with a Carbide glassbreaker handle.

I wanted a Black DLC Tanto blade with ether BDZ1 or 14C28N steel (1/2 serrated), but also wanted the carbide glass-breaker. Kershaw doesn't make one with that particular configuration, so he is piecing one together for me. It will still be about $40 cheaper than the 1670GBBLKST

Pretty excited about it, even though it's not a $300 Benchmade or ZT, it will be a great quality one-off custom that will suit my needs - and for under $40, I think it's a great deal. :)

I will post some pics once I receive it
(Also, I'm still waiting for the Blackwash Cryo II to be released, looking more like April-May for that one ;))

Will do man, should be here today (if you're referring to the Blur that is).

The blackwash Cryo II won't be available for a few months, and I already spent my allotted "fun-money" this month, so no more toys for Benny for a bit

Here're some pics of the Tanto Blur w/ Carbide GB Tip compared to my Blackout.

    Initial Impressions:

    PROS
    - Great natural feel in the palm, in either position
    - Trac-Tec inserts are great for providing a positive grip. Highly textured and feel somewhat resilient.
    - Great 2-position Pocket clip (I prefer this clip over my Blackout)
    - Decently weighted, but it's tail-heavy from the Carbide tip
    - Multi-purpose blade for different tasks
    - Open Alum. Frame won't trap as much dirt/lint as my closed frame knives.
    - Thinner profile make it more pocket friendly
    - Ambi thumb studs

    CONS
    - The jibbing on the back could be deeper and more aggressive
    - A little heavier than my Blackout (4.2oz VS 3.4oz)
    - The Trac-Tec inserts tend to grip my pocket when inserting/removing

Yea, it doesn't grip too bad, at least not enough to prevent a quick draw.

It depends on the pants too, with my jeans it clips in & out easily. on my Riggs, it grips much more due to the leather reinforcement on the pocket.
