Another floor jack question for TW, but this time I am looking for a dedicated jack that I can keep in my truck at all times.

Anyone have any thoughts / opinions or experience with the paired with the Pro Eagle 8" Jack Extension

Nice! I learned I need one ASAP as the stock bottle jack no longer reaches. I bought the 3 ton version for the garage, but it is too heavy to be driving around with all the time.

Also the 1.5 ton floor jack only being $59.99 is a pretty good deal.

I was wondering the same thing since I took home one of the "light" 1.5 ton aluminum jacks a while back and have to use 2x4 scrap blocks to get the truck high enough. Keep us informed if you buy the ProEagle extension and try it out.

A couple of reviews on the ProEagle site state that it "works", but I don't know what all modifications they needed to do or if you NEED to buy the additional $40 part:
    https://www.proeagle.com/collections/parts/products/floor-jack-lift-pad-00000

If the latter is true, you are adding $100 +shipping to the price of the HF jack and still have a cheap HF jack.

Okay will do! It is either I do the HF Jack + PE parts or just buy a hi-lift. The 1.5 lifts your truck with no issues?

Just need more $$$ and time!
I had an old 12ton bottle jack laying around so I bought the accessory kit from safe jack and keep a piece of 2x12 in the bed for a larger stable base. It worked well in the sand, haven't had to use it in any other terrain yet.Screenshot_20200225-131403_Chrome.jpg

Doesn't have issues since I am only lifting one corner of the truck at a time - usually to remove a wheel OR to put a jack stand underneath.
1.5 ton is about 70% the total weight of my truck with the camper on it, so it is well within spec for my uses.

I did just that. I thought you asked about it when you were here. You also need the base pad as someone mentioned.
FYI, kartek sells the adapter and extension for less that buying from pro eagle directly.

Seems promissing. The website claims that it will only work with their jack. Keep us posted.

You mean like this? I have a writeup in my build thread linked below that details what you need to do.

Can't find the base pad on their site.

I got my PE base and extension from SDHQ. They price matched Kartek too.

It dropped right in on the HF jack. You just need a big fender washer to take up some slack between the new base and the jack arm since the pad is thinner on the PE. Light tap with a hammer to get the pivot bolt back in and you're g2g. Swapover takes less than 2 minutes.

Plus a regular quickfist and an XL makes a damn sturdy fender mount.

    Good to know, ty!

Forgot to mention, but trying to spend sub $200 if possible, otherwise I'd get the 100% PE

I probably did and just forgot  I'll check kartek, thanks!

    Nice set up!

Thanks for the details, @Gunshot-6A !

For others, including me, we'll need two pieces:
    1. Pro Eagle "Off Road Jack Lift Pad" : $39.99 at SDHQ || $24.99 at KAR TEK
    2. Pro Eagle "Off Road Jack Extension": $59.99 @ SDHQ || $59.99 at KAR TEK
    Both places offer free shipping
The math is off since we also need the "lift pad" for an additional ~$30. So $160 total.

Do you also need a skid plate for under the jack too?
