Hi there everyone, my name is Larry, I live in Colorado, and I bought "Betsy" 10 years ago (traded in my 2003 Ram 2500 Quad I owned for 6 years). I'm a newbie here but read a TON of information on this site for the past several months. I wanted to thank all of you who have contributed so much useful information for me to read lately....and finally wanted to applaud all of your efforts with my introduction :)

I decided to give Betsy a rejuvenation when she turned 10 years old this month and was going back and forth between a 3-inch lift or the 6-inch lift. Finally said 'wtf' and made the decision for the 6-inch and love it!!! I've read so many threads where people in various parts of the country didn't give 4-Wheel Parts much credit (and made me nervous) but here in Colorado Springs they are top-notch, and their service (and follow-ups) are remarkable. She's my daily driver (not an off-roader) so this lift was to give her a sexy makeover. My Friday and weekend ride is "Roxanne" - 2018 SRT Hellcat Charger :)

    Specs:

6-inch Pro Comp with ProRunner front/rear shocks
    4.56 Gears
    35x12.5R18 Pro Comp AT shoes
    Method NV 18x9 -12mm feet

    *Post Install Additions*
    Raptor-style mesh grille with LEDs
New headlights and fog lights to replace the 10yr dull ones
    Bushwhacker fender flares

Still wanting to do something with my running boards....entry is a STRETCH with the stock Luverne nerf bars on my 48-year old body. Would like to possibly add some add-on steps to my rockers that would not conflict or get in the way of my existing nerf bars....would be great if I could get the steps to drop down about 2 inches below the bars lol.

Pictures coming shortly.....just found out this forum only accepts images from another source....darn, have to do it another way.

Welcome to TW. Not to down play the intro to Betsy but I’ve gotta say I’m more interested to seeing pictures of Roxanne.

The pictures looked pretty good when I previewed them....but afterwards, the forum 'boxes' them for some reason and they lose some luster.....regardless......hello again, and thanks everyone for your information throughout the past months :)

Perfect compliment for a truck. Always a huge fan of those cars.

Hey guys...quick question. Now that she is all lifted up, I just put a 35" tire and matching Method 18" rim in the bed under the cover in case shit ever happens of course. Still need to figure out how to 'secure' the heavy bastard in there, but my rubber mat helps in the bed from moving around and such. I assume I will need a decent jack now though? Luckily have never had to mess with the stock spare or jack combo since I have had this truck (knock on wood), but I would think the stock jack won't work on this kind of lift? If so, what do you guys recommend?

If you put the jack under the rear axle the stock jack will probably lift her. The tricky part might be the front as there’s no good spot the try to lift the truck under the lower control arm- especially using a bottle jack. If you tried to jack it up under the center jacking point I highly doubt you’d be able to get it high enough for the tires to come off the ground. Best time to learn is before you have to learn what’ll work. Maybe 1 of those aluminum floor jacks from harbor freight? If it were me I’d like something that’s just enough to do the job and keep it stored pretty descretely. I’m sure there’s lots of info for jack options for these trucks.
