    Hi everyone,

Just got a major problem with my Tacoma 2003,

As I was driving on the roadway in the city, I heard a popping sound from the front of my Truck and all of a sudden, my engine started to run really rough, when I pulled over to see what was wrong, I saw oil dripping from the engine by the oil filter area. I thought it was just the oil filter, so I changed my oil filter and oil to see if that would fix the problem. The old oil filter looked just fine, but after putting everything together, I started the truck to have the oil still dripping. It was hard to see in that area so I took my tire off to get a better view, and was totally bummed that there was a 1/2 inch hole in the block near the base of the oil filter. Has anyone experienced anything like this? And the worst part was, when I called to see if my extended warranty was still valid, the Lady told me that It just expired on May 26,2010. How sick is that! As I looked at the hole, the wall of the engine looked very thin. I'm not sure if that was part of the problem or some moving part was not doing it's part. I have my truck serviced every 3 to 4 thousand miles. I have only 50,567 miles on it cause I live so near my job. My truck is a 2003.

    I'm sick...any suggestions out there?

    Thanks

    Kokua:confused:

Yep...if there is a hole in the block, it's new engine time.
