    Just curious if there are certain years or engines to be avoided. I know Toyota has a pretty bulletproof reputation, but I tire of the timing belt BS with the family Camrys and wish to avoid that. 2WD, crew cab would be nice, but extended cab would probably suffice. 4 cylinder plenty for my urban usage. Thanks!

    I could do either, but probably would prefer to avoid the big bucks. Certainly something post 2000, most likely post 2010. Thanks.

    I have seen posts such as "beware the dreaded 2006" or such. Thought there were certain models or engines that had not been as good as the others.
