I have been playing the rotating shopping cart at various electronic sites and figured it would just make more sense to ask you fine gentleman on your opinion. $450 budget, 96 taco ext cab with impossible to see out the back topper. Currently truck has older single din unit it (no Bt etc). Plans eventually (not a part of the 450 budget) are component fronts , 6x9 or 6.5 coax rears and a 6.5 sub in storage hatch. My problem is I went from a 2017 zr2 to this taco and I really miss my gps, hands free calling and backup camera. I have 3 options (I think) single din with ram mount and tablet (that will always be in the truck, no data plan) , single din with garmin drive + their backup camera or a double din navigation unit (one that can tilt up so i can see it easier, knowing which one you have selected would be helpful also) . I use android devices mainly. I also have some concerns over the clarity which people can hear me on after market hands free calling microphones a long with some of the back up camera picture qualities. If it helps I mainly use pandora for music and podcast addict for things like JRE. It would be rare for me to play lossless / flac files out of the headunit/phone. Thanks buddies.

Just an update, went with a 80prs head unit, totoro rear view mirror camera and using my phone for gps (updating the phone soon to a larger screen. Due to the AC cables being mech in my year I could not change their location while putting the Nav/Head Unit higher up. 190 for the used head unit and 112 for the camera.
