    Hey There!

I have been driving a Tacoma since late 2019.

I have been using this forum as a great source of information and now decided to join.

I recently started off-roading and camping more often and was hoping to find groups here nearby to do that :). Especially since most trails require to buddy up and be at least two vehicles.

After all, the more vehicles the more fun in the trails. right?

I am mostly in the NJ, NY & PA areas. camping, hiking, or off-roading!

Do people get together on holidays and weekends to do this here?

Welcome to TW! From a fellow Taco owner in Central NJ to you. There is a NJ BS group on here, but dare say the word "offroading" and they will be calling you an overlanding weenie wannabe before you can take another breathe by all the elitist's and people who think they made "offroading" a thing in NJ before you decided to get into it. Believe it or not i think most FB Groups are friendlier and more open to inviting/allowing people to trail ride with them. Thats just my opinion. You can get lost in Wharton as im sure you know. Where abouts in NJ are you from?

Hey There! I am in Linden NJ. I am originally from Venezuela and offroading there is a thing. You can really do unregulated offroad xD. Here I have to figure out trails and pay to enter and camp lol.
that is what I have been trying to figure out since you really can't just drive into a park to get to a river or just drive freely on the beach.

Either way, finding people to go on trails and camp and make new friends doesn't sound too bad. I am not on Facebook though. that is why I came here. Hopefully, I don't get burned for it xD

I'm in central jersey, and just picked up my first taco, looking to get into off-roading to but have no idea where to start. I used to ATV when I was younger but those trails are too small for trucks. There is also Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park, which you can drive on the beach and kind of camp out there. (Camping is not allowed but you are allowed to stay on the beach 24/7 as long as you are "actively fishing", which pretty much means put some rods in some rod holders and go to sleep.)
