Hi everyone. I'm a first-time Tacoma owner as of Halloween.

My last car was a Chrysler 300C, and it was a nightmare. After pouring over $5000 in repairs into it over the course of the last two months (and it STILL had problems), I had to get rid of it before it sank my finances completely.

One of the times it was being towed after leaving me and my wife stranded (again), the driver said that he tows a lot of Chrysler 300's. I asked him what kind of car he towed the least, and he said that, in over 10 years, he had only towed one Tacoma - and that was due to a flat tire and the guy had no spare. I knew then that the Tacoma was going to be my next vehicle.

My Tacoma is a 2012 double cab 4WD with about 70k miles. The Carfax showed every regular oil change and service. With the legendary reliability of the Tacoma, I'm hoping that it serves me well!

I work as an electrical engineer, so I'm happy to lend a hand with questions about electronics, wiring, or CAN communications to the ECU. In the meantime, I'm going to be pouring through the forums, trying to learn from all of the experienced folks here.
