Hi, I'm Marc. What hoops do I have to jump through to get Toyota to do right?

Hello. I'm just being introduced to the wonderful world of Tacoma frame rust. Mine's a 2002 with 63,000 miles on it and I just found out about the rust issues from my mechanic. For the most part, it's toast without a complete chassis replacement. We were never warned by Toyota or the dealership that there were any issues or recalls. I've written Toyota and so far am getting handled with mottoes about Kaizen.
I've read of some people who've gotten buybacks as late as 2014, so I need to know what I have to do to get compensation. I hate to get rid of the truck, since it's been a great one, but there doesn't seem to be much else I can do.
Can someone here tell me who to call, write or rattle cages to get some satisfaction?

You try taking it to a dealership for them to inspect it?

You also have to of owned it a certain amount of time for a buy back.

I'm taking it to a dealership on Friday morning to see what they can tell me. We bought it in November of 2001, so we are the original owners. Unfortunately, the dealership who sold it to us is no longer affiliated with Toyota. I emailed Toyota at "toyota_cares@toyota.com" and was told the frame replacement offer ended in 2011. So much for the Kaizen motto.
