Anyone have any thoughts on lift points for my Hi Jack on my stock bumpered 2016??? It's simple on the Jeep, but with plastic "bumpers" on the Taco, I'm not seeing anywhere to lift from without causing substantial body damage. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Buy the Hi-Lift Lift Mate and use it to lift from the wheels.

The only real place to lift with a Hi-Lift on a stock truck is the trailer hitch mount. This isn't really an ideal place to lift because it will lift the entire back end of the truck off the ground and the Jack can become unstable. This lift point shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary and there is also a chance that your hi-lift can get jammed in the reciever. Overall, this isn't a very safe or effective lift point.
The safest way to use a hi-lift on a Tacoma is with rock sliders or aftermarket bumpers.

Great idea for putting stuff under the tire for more traction, but it won't help me at all with a flat! I like the hi lift as a replacement for the junk factory jacks. It's been great on the Jeep, but I fear it won't be transitioning to the Taco except for trail work.

Carry a jack stand with you and some wood to level the ground to create a stable base for the jack stand.

Came across this thread while trying to solve this exact same issue...my solution (for the back end, at least) is using a hitch shackle mount in conjunction with a D-ring/shackle adapter for your Hi-Lift.

And then using one of these:

    Mostly stuff I built.
Buy a recovery point for your rear hitch and hang the hi-lift in the shackle. I usually chain/strap the jack back to the truck to keep it from kicking out. Pic for example wrong end but you get the idea. Oh and pic is borrowed not my rig jack or setup.
