Yeah I have mine in the back of the access cab right now and no rust so far. There tends to be complaining by folks riding in the back though.

Just trying to gauge what accessories will really help and which just look pretty (at first at least).

    Some nice looking mounts here.

How is everyone securing their hi-lifts so they dont walk off? Just a cable and lock?

I'm wanting to do a bed mount of some kind too when my truck gets here. I need mine to be below the top of the bed though because I plan on some kind of cover on it. Probably one of those roll/retractable types.

Some mounts have drilled out holes through the mounting studs for a small lock. Others use chains.

Mine when it was all pretty and new..

I had my hilift out today so i figured i would snap a few pictures for you. These are the relentless fab mounts, they do sit below the bed rails.

ATO Hi-Lift Bed Mounts (they fit below my Access Original bed cover) with a 48'' Hi-Lift mounted in the front of a 2nd Gen bed. No way of locking it just yet, but it's pretty hidden under the bed cover.

I have mine mounted the same way with a set of ATO and with a Snugtop installed. No clearance issues or rattling.

Did a little modifying to the bed cleats to accommodate the hi-lift, so far so good.

What have you done to your truck lately
Using a hi lift mount from pelfreybilt and also it clears for a bac flip cover.

I just welded these mounts together a few days ago. I'm learning how to tig weld so it was a fun project. I took the base off the jack and keep it in the cab, that way the jack fits snug against the bed. I put thick aluminum backing plates behind each mount, the back one was a lot easier to install because you can just remove the cargo/AC outlet panel.

yeahyeahyeah...thread revival. okay. Not going to start a new thread about the same thing.

My question - mounting a hi-lift with a shell. There is a slight bit of space between the rail and the lower edge of the shell.
Anyone have experience with this? Pics please.

I see that there are mainly 2 guys fabbing these up. Relentless and ATO.
    Any others?
    Or DIY.

    Thanks.
