Waiting for delivery on new taco. After several problems with the three GMC trucks, decided to follow my sons lead and buy Toyota. Have an old taco farm truck. looking forward to the new truck and hearing about everyones' experience with theirs.:)

Welcome from PA....I see your from NY, you may want to look into some rust proofing on the frame. Ask me how I know...LOL. Other than that, you should get plenty of years of service.

    Thanks,

What kind of rust treatment? We get a lot of road salt usage here, so it may be a good suggestion. I've had several other vehicles, ( 27 so far), and the later trucks seem to hold up better to the salt, but I'm not sure what would be best.:D

K&N intake. That is all. For now...
Welcome from CA! You'll love your Tacoma.

Like mentioned... i'd look into rust proofing since you live in a snowy state.

    Hi,

You're all right!!!!!! LOVE my Taco. After using it for the last eight months, went and bought one for my son before he goes off to college. He'll have a safe, fun to drive 4X4 for a long time. Found a 2008, crewcab in great shape with 25000 mi, so we bought it on the spot. We both like it a lot more than moms' Avalanche. Handles better, easier to park and a lot more fun to drive. Thanks for suggestions and input:)

Definitely look into some good undercoating. Washing your frame once a week when you drive it through the salt is good too.

    Hi again,

My son is still discovering his Taco. Has constantly found new reasons to go out. At 18, he's active teaching karate, working and chasing around with friends.:D I hope after the excitement calms down and he gets to college that he'll get more involved, but we'll see.:)
