So I'm new here, and thought I’d actually join and get some great advice and see what’s happening with all these trucks. I got a 2005 6 speed manual prerunner last year as a backup vehicle but it’s recently become my daily driver. I’ve put more money than I expected into it so I’ll be keeping it and trying to fix it up a little at a time. The old girl has 256,000 miles. I’m looking forward to seeing what all you guys are doing with yours!

 

Hopefully it's not lived in salt country, or it's been well protected on the frame if it has.

That's the first thing to be confident in.

After that, on a 2wd, all routine maintenance items of course, all safety items, and just use it.

AFAIK, my truck is 100% OEM stock with the exception of the scheduled maintenance items and the tires and the battery. Currently at +- 141,000 so barely broken in ;^).

Thanks for the welcomes! The only real rust is the roof and it’s beginning to start on the hood. I’ll put up some pics soon.
