Hey guys, for the HID kit, what type of bulb is the one for an 01 DC?

HB2, or 9003, I see these 2 numbers on a sylvania site, but I'm not sure which one. I imagine that we are losing the hi-beam right?

Any one that has done the HID kit conversion, can you lend a hand?

    thanks...

Anybody have any problems running an HID conversion kit without a relay harness going directly to the battery, on just the standard plug and play connectors? Any problems with the bulbs/ballasts dying faster than usual? How about with HID conversion kits on headlights and fog lights with no relay harness? Thanks all.

Do you make headlight adjustments with the assembly bolted down or loose? Or does it not matter? I tried adjusting mine today and only got about 1 turn out of the plastic end piece before I stripped it.

While this thread is written for LEDs, the same principles apply to HIDs. Read this to understand why this is a bad practice:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

HIDs should never be run in a reflector, you need a full projector retrofit.

The harness is needed for 55w HIDs that briefly exceed the headlight circuit draw at startup, which might blow the fuse over time.
