you say plug and play. does the kit just replace the stock bulb and add a ballast with a factory type connector?

The high beams (if you get bulbs that have them) will be halogen and they are worthless. Once you add HID's to stock housings there is no need for high beams.. The scatter from the HID's is more of a high beam then a low beam anyways.

just my thoughts, highbeams are always good to flash people, whether to let them in and other stuff, i only got low beams too, cause i was cheap and never really use high beams either, but sometimes nice to have

Bi-xenon bulbs have high beams. They pull the bulb back slightly when you flip your high beams on.

they may have diff set ups, but I know of one kind, that they are actually 2 different bulbs, the hid, and a halogen high, so when u flip the switch, it cuts off the hid and switches the halogen on

yea, h4's and 9003 are the same for our truck, and yea the h4's are like that, I'm not saying that fisher is wrong, but I find that very implausible, unless you're talkin about super luxury car, when u have a high/low setup on the same bulb on our trucks, there are three terminals, one is ground, one is for low power, and one is for high power, when u click on high, low goes out

u could have 2 hid's? I didn't realize there was a difference, i would think the halogen would be better for a high, because it'll come on instantly, where HID needs to warm up, and I heard the quick on/off is not good for hid's (not sure about that) I've had good luck with ebay hid's, but a lot of people recommend ddmtuning.

This, there are two types. One has two bulbs, one has a shield that a solenoid retracts the bulb to redirect light to a different place on the reflector to produce high and low beams these are know as Bi-Xenon. Neither is even close to what a projector will produce, light wise.

my apologies to fisher then, so how does the solenoid retract? electrically from the power given from the harness?
