HID kit

I ended up ordering from DDM and everything was fine. I got an email that day saying the order was being processed, then the next day saying it was being shipped.
I installed them this morning and everything worked out fine (haha although i forgot to put the boots back on...so i need to do that in a bit) but so far good product; can't wait to see them at night.

 

I got my HIDs from DDM this week and put them in this morning. I got it done without any problems. One of my fog lights was a pain in the ass, but other than that it wasn't a big deal. DDM has some really good directions on the site.

did you have to adjust your lights at all?

 

Just put them in and went on about my business. They seem to be straight on to me, but I may adjust them if I get brighted by people driving by me a ton. The first car I passed last night brighted me, but the next couple didn't.

 

you shouldn't have to adjust your lights at all, the bulbs are a direct replacement for the old bulbs and all the adjustment is in the housing itself which doesnt move when you swap them out.

but don't take my word for it... i'm still waiting for my slimcubby bulbs to get here

 

Most of the time you will have to adjust the headlight when switch to HIDs. For whatever reason they never seem to line up properly after all my conversions.
I just left the lights in my taco alone after replacing them to HID and I had to lower them down some as to not blind people, I am also lifted though to so that lifted my lights up a lot.

 

i got my slimcubby hids and looks like a good solid kit...just take awhile for me to install b/c i am quite anal about making the wiring look good...Also if you wanted before you installed find a flat place with a solid wall and mark on the wall with masking tape where your original headlights where hitting and the you can see where the hids are hitting....also a good trick when lifting...this is what i will do..

 

What exactly do I need to purchase when ordering from DDM?

Do I need the wiring harness for both main and fogs?

And anybody know what size headlights/foglights are?
I think I read theyre H10/H4 but not sure

It is recommended so that you do not melt your stock wiring harness. To be honest, I have never seen that happen on any of my kits or anyone I locally know. It is only about an extra $20 and could save you hundreds though.

And anybody know what size headlights/foglights are?
The headlights are H4/9003, the fog lights are H10/9145.
