    I just recently replace all my cheap bulbs with HID kits, i when with the 6000k for the low, high and fog lights. i do run the aftermarket projector halo lights, so i had to buy 3 kits, got them off ebay for 41.50 with shipping. pics to come soon, highly suggest people to buy these makes a big difference and in the snow they are amazing

    Overkill having them in your high beams IMO.

    Just make sure you properly adjust the lights, there are a few cool guys on this forum who thinks its ok to blind the f out of people.

    Thanks, but I've ran HID's in previous vehicles, so I'm not exactly new to HID's. I never even really used highs with HID's installed in the lows, not much of a need for it. If you drive for long long periods of time with them on, it's fine. But it's not good if you're going to use them to signal someone to go, or pass, etc, like most people do. Not great for the ballasts. Plus since HID's take a bit to warm up to full brightness it's not ideal if you quickly need your highs.

    That's why I won't put HID's in my Taco seeing as it sits up higher and is more likely to blind someone regardless of how they're angled. In the cars I've ran them in it wasn't too much of a problem with them adjusted properly since the vehicle was lower to the ground.

    I'm no pro on HID's but our trucks have the same bulb for hi and low so in theory they shouldnt take time to heat up for hi beams if the headlights are already on should it?

    On the same note as my post above, our trucks run a single hi/low bulb so do you not have high beams now? I'm a bit confused

    that is true, but i do travel on back roads for a distance without seeing a car for miles, so in my area they work out perfect

    Not sure how a bi-xenon setup works where it's one bulb. Dunno if there is a shield that moves, or if there is a seperate halogen high beam bulb attached, which I've seen before on some cars. He has the aftermarket projector lights so they have a separate high and low beam bulb.

    i have aftermarket projector lights, lows are projector and highs are normal

    The bi-xenons have a magnet behind the bulb so when you hit your high beams, it sucks the bulb back to give it the high beam effect.

    So running them in our trucks isnt an issue. Sorry I know your running projectors with seperate hi/lo. I was asking more as a personal question since I have a set sitting at home waiting for me to get home from England.
