Those are super nice! Do you have a parts list of what you used for the Retro?

Yes you would. The projector is mounted to the reflector bowl. The reflector is the part that moves inside the headlight for adjustment.

Some trimming of the boot is required, I took off about 1/2 inch from the inside protrusion. Just enough to clear the D2S male end of the bulb.

Yes I did think about painting the reflector but I decided against it because of the already factory smoked headlamp and I wanted it to look as OE as possible. They might be a little low, but I don't think they are off by much. When I first installed them I thought I had the aim just right, but I didn't compensate for my sloped driveway. I was riding around blinding EVERYONE!

The kit with projectors, bulbs, ballast, shrouds, and wiring harness was $370. I probably spent another $20 on the hole saw and miscellaneous items.

Sorry man, I trashed them. They were just the regular clear 05 lamps with broken tabs other bits of damage.

Feel free to ask any questions. I have no problem sharing the information.

Andy where are you located in SC? For parts I used The Retrofit Source FX-R Bi-Xenon projectors, Matsu Gen 3 ballasts, ballast mounting brackets, 4300k D2S bulbs, Gatling shrouds, and wiring harness (All of this was included in the kit). Outside of the kit, I used LocTite branded JB Weld, 10-24 (I think) all thread, nylon lock nuts, washers, jam nuts, and 3M Scotchweld DP100 epoxy.

I think that's about it. If I missed anyone shoot me a PM or post up again. Feel free to ask any questions.

Nice work, what do you expect the whole setup cost you?

Probably about $430-440. I was able to pick up the spare headlight fairly cheap, which helps a lot.

K, I have a spare set of headlights laying behind me right now just for this. VERY nice clean work! Looks great.

How are they aimed? Can you still aim them with the stock adjustment screws?

He mounted the projectors to the stock reflector bowl so that it moves with the bowl when you adjust it.

So if I have an extra set of stock lights, what is the projected cost?

It really wasn't all that difficult. The hardest part is baking the headlights and getting them apart.

That is a really nice mod.

Did oyu have the aim the projectors lower or did you just center it?

    Thanks

Did you answer the question about doing the mod for a fee?
